While the Kelp Gull was a no-show this evening at Springfield Lake in Summit County, Kent Miller and Robert Hershberger report an adult Thayer's Gull and a Glaucous Gull as well as a strange, small far-backed gull. For those seeking the Kelp Gull, efforts should continue to be made at dawn and dusk. Don't wait to arrive as or right after the sun rises in the morning-- get there with minutes to spare, as birds quickly lift off the lake to other (unknown as of yet) destinations
