I got some afternoon birding in at Pine L. today, despite the rain showers.  When the rain cleared out there was sunshine, and I saw two rainbows!  I'm pretty sure I've never seen a rainbow in December before.  Bird highlights were: gadwalls, hooded mergansers, 175 common mergansers, ruddy ducks, pied-billed grebe, and double-crested cormorant.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
