While working the Elyria CBC I located an immature Snowy Owl in Lorain. The bird is on piles of gravel east of where SR-611 crosses over the Black River on the High Level Bridge. It is on the south side of the river on property owned by the steel company. I was unable to find a publicly accessible area with good viewing. The bird can only be seen while driving over the bridge.

Stopping on the bridge is not possible. Even slowing to look is very dangerous as the locals speed excessively. There are no sidewalks on that side of the bridge. It is essentially a 35 mph drive by opportunity.
