Sorry for the late post, but this afternoon birders in Hancock County (NW
Ohio) recorded at least 623 Sandhill Cranes in at least nine different
flocks of between 3 and 140+ birds. All were heading SSE. Birders in
central and southern Ohio may want to look up tomorrow since at least some
of these birds landed in area fields so will likely be on the move on
Sunday.
