Ohio birders have added several shared bird reporting hotspots to eBird.

With these additions there are now over 2500 "hotspot" locations in eBird.

Many birders visit the Ohio eBird Hotspot web site because they have liked
the BirdTrax gadget on the front page which shows rare bird sightings
across the state. The developer of this gadget has let me know that Google
will be discontinuing support of gadgets in late January. He has developed
a different gadget called AccuBirder, which he is hosting on his own site.
AccuBirder is now on the front page of the Ohio site to give you
information about rare bird sightings. I am working on the county pages
adding AccuBirder and, at least for a while, keeping the BirdTrax display
of current bird sightings. There is not room on the front page of the site
to display both gadgets. Please contact me personally if you have feedback
about this change.
