Bill's link regarding chickadees should serve as a reminder for birders to
maybe not take it as given that any chickadee seen north of certain areas
are automatically Black-capped Chickadees. For the last several years, I've
heard that the dividing line is Route 30, but now I wonder if that's really
true anymore.

During the ABA-sponsored bird walk at the American Birding Expo in Columbus
last year, the leader called out a black-capped chickadee and was surprised
when I told him you only found those in the northern third of the state
now.

Good Birding.
