Short comments on rarities, Brambling and CLE.

The Brambling continues to show well, daily. The bird frequents most between the hours of 9 am and 2:30 pm, but has been found with regularity outside of this window. Wait time anywhere from 2 hours to 20 minutes. Typically frequents every 40 minutes or so, with feeder visits lasting 1 to 5 minutes on average. The bird frequents most in the company of tree sparrows and juncos and when general bird activity is most active. There has yet to be a day when the bird has not been, nor a day when it has not been seen multiple times.

The Black-headed Gull at Wendy Park coast guard station was reported this morning, briefly.

A Snowy Owl continues at BurkeLakefront Airport although sightings have been more scattered.

The female King Eider at Sim's Park continues with regularity but can sometimes necessitates much scope scanning as it has been anywhere from near shore to offshore with packs of goldeneye. A Cackling Goose has been associating with Canada Geese at the site.

The Northern Shrike continues in Jaite, (headquarters of Cuyahoga Valley National Park) frequenting the scrubby, edges of the railroad track and power line clearing, most often seen south of the yellow office buildings by several hundred feet to a quarter mile south along the tracks. Habitat extensive
