I stopped at Wellington upground reservoir late this afternoon. It had 500+
Canada geese, but among them I did find a definite cackling goose. It
moved around and was nice enough to pose along side of two Canada geese, so
the size difference was obvious. Then it swam by some mallards and I could
see it was about that size to confirm it. This was the first I had seen in
several years.

Also at Wellington, there were two mute swans, lots of hooded mergansers,
lots of ruddy ducks, several small groups of redheads, ring-necks,
mallards, and buffleheads, a few gadwall and a single pintail.A nice mix of
waterfowl.

Randy Rowe, Wooster
