EURASIAN TREE SPARROW - Some of you may have seen the post from yesterday regarding this potential first state record. Hopefully this post can help clear things up as more information has come to light.

Sometime yesterday a ETSP was located by naturalist Joe Malmisur (as far as I am aware). At least one photo was taken to confirm the ID. Yesterday's sighting was confirmed this evening at F. A. Seiberling Nature Realm Metro Park in SUMMIT COUNTY coming to the PUBLIC visitor center feeders.

The Visitor Center has a great INDOOR window to view the feeders that can accommodate many birders. However, the center is closed on Mondays and you can not view the feeders from the outside. You can still see lots of the birds in the shrubs from the right side of the center. The open hours of the center are: Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-5PM and Sunday 12PM-5PM. So the center will be open and welcoming to the public tomorrow from 10 till 5. Address to the park: 1828 Smith Rd, Akron, OH 44313

Get out there if you can folks to this amazing window feeder setup. Hopefully this bird will be refound for many others to enjoy. Drive Safe!

- JR
