On Friday afternoon, we saw a total of 10 Bald Eagles (mixed adult and juvenile) on the ice between South Bass and Middle Bass.

The open water between the ice off the Scheeff East Point Preserve contained approximately 60 tundra swans, about 50 common goldeneye, 20 buffleheads, 20 mallards, 5 redheads, lots of scaup, and a few red-breasted mergansers. Difficult to count from a distance without the birds flying off-very skittish.

Snow Buntings were seen at Peach Point and at the grounds of Perry's Victory.
