My wife and I visited Pickerington Ponds (a Columbus area Metro Park) late Saturday afternoon, January 2. At the Pintail Marsh we observed 14 Sandhill Cranes, 1 Great Blue Heron, 10 Hooded Mergansers, 2 Green-winged Teal, 1 Harrier, 2 Red-tailed Hawks, plus Mallards and Black Ducks.

At Blue Wing Pond we observed 6 swans which I took to be Tundras.
