I had time this afternoon to sit in the 100th Bomb Group restaurant parking
lot for about an hour, scanning the Cleveland Hopkins Airport grounds.
Around 3:15 PM a hawk in flight on the western end of the runways caught my
attention and while watching it I saw the owl fly past and proceeded to
follow the owl instead. Seeing the owl fly past the hawk provided a great
comparison for size and shape (the white was obvious of course).  When the
owl landed it was on the ground behind a ridge and I couldn't see it
anymore.  Ah well, I got great views of one at the airport via my scope
last year.  I didn't have my scope with me today, just my 10x42
binoculars.  Good enough for a definitive id!
