Received a report this morning from Mark Shave that the Snow Geese and
Greater White-fronted Geese were still at Mosquito Creek on the reservoir.
I arrive about 10:45 am but did not see them for an hour. As I left to
search the Wildlife Area for them (feeding, I hoped!) I heard tremendous
honking and hundreds of geese and ducks were leaving the fields west of the
reservoir and heading to the lake, right over my head! I snapped some pics,
watched them on the water for a while, and after about 20 minutes they
returned to the fields. Great views about 1.6 miles west on Denman-Mahan
Road, looking at the small lake to the north. A real surprise was three
Ross's Geese in with the Snow's.

eBird checklist submitted. Thanks to Larry Richardson & others who watched
with me for help with the Ross's Geese.
