FEBRUARY 05, 2016 - Cuyahoga Valley Monthly Towpath Trail Census.HIKE: Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Red Lock Trailhead south to Merriman Rd.TIME: 7:30am-3:45pm TEMP.: 25-42-39 COND.: Mostly sunny with clouds/sun mix turning sunny with blue skies back to mostly sunny with clouds/sun mix again. No snow cover; Dover Pond was ice-free, Ira Beaver Marsh had skim-ice melting away to 3/4 open.TRAIL COND.: Frozen & rutted, thawing to sloppy & muddy. RIVER COND.: Above normal from last week's rains, swift & muddy.FT.MI.: 13.51 OBS.: John Henry & Douglas W. Vogus.
