If you are using the parking area and Gazebo for the party center directly east of the Springfield skating rink you are on private property and should cease using that area.

Almost immediately, folks realized that the parking area with the gazebo was superior viewing of the lake and started to use it. The owner of the rink in conversation with myself and Ben said that the owner of the party center is NOT ok with folks using their property for anything other than paid events at their business. If you were previously unaware of this, then I hope this reminder solves that lack of information. The parking lot of the rink itself is fine, but you're dealing with a chain link fence unless you get elevated in some way.

It's true that you cannot always see all the diagnostic field marks from those spots, but that's birding. Using the multiple factors associated with making the call on this species can make it hard to make the call with certainty, but if you're diligent and deliberate it's doable.
