This week's snowstorm brought 24 Tree Sparrows, 8 Goldfinches and 6 Juncos
to my feeding area. I haven't had any of those species here for a couple of
weeks. They're still visiting daily, the flock size remains the same.

On Friday two Red-winged Blackbirds and a Tufted Titmouse were singing near
my feeder area. A single Turkey Vulture flew over me in Howland (first one
this year) and was having a difficult time flying in the strong wind. Many
Red-tailed Hawks were active. I was also delighted to see an adult Bald
Eagle flying over a former nest sight (this sight was abandoned last year).
A pair has been frequenting the site, but no progress has been made on any
nest revitalization so far. Hopefully they will succeed where others have
failed.
