Last week’s MBC trip was to Killbuck Wetlands, Funk Bottom, Wright Marsh and surrounding areas Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Lucine Wright, Nancy Cornes, Arnold Huyghebaert, Emily Grafton, Scott Emrick, Rosie Campbell, Wilma Jarrell, Dave and Joan Schroeder, and Dick and Jeanette Esker participated.

There were plenty of waterfowl. Each species seemed to have their favorite place. Killbuck had thousands of Ring-necked Ducks and lots of Ruddy Ducks. Funk Bottom had thousands of Northern Pintails, hundreds of swans and lots of Redheads. Wright Marsh had hundreds of American Wigeons.

There were lots of Bald Eagles (15?) and five Sandhill Cranes.
