I spent the afternoon birding at Evans L. and Pine L.  Best bird was an ad. lesser black-backed gull at Evans L.  Waterfowl at Evans L. included Am. wigeon, 110 lesser scaup, buffleheads, pied-billed grebes, and Am. coots.  Pine L. had n. shovelers, ring-necked ducks, buffleheads, 86 red-breasted mergansers, 15 horned grebes, 45 double-crested cormorants, 2 bald eagles, and 3 tree swallows.  On the way home I saw an Am. kestrel hunting in Poland Twp.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
