This morning, 1 male and 3 female Rustys were foraging on the grassy borders of the new bike path spur along the new pond/wetland between the pedestrian bridge and Armitage Road. The Rusty Blackbirds were loosely associated with several Red-winged Blackbirds and European Starlings, but flew off after about ten minutes by themselves, crossing over the Hocking River. One Rusty was briefly chased by a male Red-winged Blackbird.

Also, I observed a Tree Swallow checking out one of the new nest boxes that the Young Naturalist Club and Rural Action have installed there recently!

Lots of other birds too. My FOY Brown Thrasher among them.

Attached is the link to my eBird checklist with the Rusty Blackbirds. Lifebird!!!
