I wonder if I was the last to learn that Greenland once was part of  the
AOU Area, then was removed, and next AOU Checklist will restore
Greenland to the Area. This makes sense for many reasons, but listers
will be especially interested. There is an intriguing list of the birds
of Greenland on Avibase. And lots of useful work can still be done, as
this list omits a species I recently held in my hand at the Museum,
complete with a Greenland tag. Think of all the distribution maps that
now must be redrawn, field guides rewritten, all the new empty spots in
personal checklists, all the arctic gear you'll need...
