At least 2 long eared owls are currently being seen at Springville
Marsh right now. That is on the Wyandot and Seneca County line. They
are near the boardwalk. I spooked one up this morning setting up nets
for banding. I have left, but the crew reacquired then minutes ago.
Tom Bartlett has pictures. In an aside, the Turkey Vultures are back
in Carey also. There has been a roost in the spring for the last
several year of 25-50 right in the middle of town in the pine tree
behind the Lutheran Church. They were there yesterday in force.
