I spent an hour and a half checking these 2 parks near downtown Columbus this morning and found a good selection of very early migrants. The river was very high, so waterfowl & gulls were scant, but raptors & landbirds made up for it. Notables included

Osprey - 1 was fussing around the nest in the old impound lot near the Grange Center
BaldEagle - an adult was along the river in Berliner, near the suspected nest there
E.Phoebe - 1 was calling near the boat ramp at Scioto
TreeSwallows - 4-5 were flying around the bay above the Greenlawn Ave dam
BrownCreepers - there were still 2 of them in the riparian woods along the Berliner bikepath
E.Towhee - at least 2 were calling along the bikepath at Scioto
FoxSparrows - 2 were along the bikepath at South Scioto, while another 2 were along the Berliner bikepath
blackbirds - loads of grackles & Red-winged blackbirds, along with a few cowbirds
