An absolutely gorgeous male Mountain Bluebird was found and photographed this past weekend by an observer at Edison Woods, one of Erie MetroParks (Erie County) gems of green space.
A brilliant record for Ohio, and for Erie County. Habitat abounds at this large park site and diligent seekers are urged to scour the roadside edges and fields of this awesome park, sitting only a few miles away from the lakefront. While the report is from mere days past, this certainly does not mean that current efforts to hopefully relocate would be without great haste and diligence. Roadside edges, fields, fence lines, agricultural field borders, and open scrub habitat along with a winery adjacent can all be found along the borders of this park. Best of searching-
