There has been a lone Trumpeter swan hanging out at NCR since March 9th. I first located it in the Cuyahoga County part of the park feeding, but it spends most of its time at Oxbow Lagoon in the Lake County part of the park. It does occasionally go back to the Cuyahoga County part of the park to feed. Imagine my surprise when visiting Oxbow Lagoon yesterday when I found the Swan has a companion! So as of April 16th we now have 2 Trumpeter Swans at NCR. Lets hope this rarity for this part of the state continues and hope that perhaps they become a mating pair. "fingers crossed"
