of Pileated Woodpeckers coursing through the bottomland forest of a
tributary of the Vermilion River here in south central Huron County (Ripley
Township) on Sunday morning(4/3/16). It was, for us, an extraordinary
sighting. There are many older bottomland woodlots in this area providing
just the right habitat for these spectacular birds. We just keep
looking.....
