Hello All,

Just a couple of pertinent notes:

• The 2016 Brooks Bird Club of WV Foray will be in beautiful Tucker County, WV, home of Blackwater Falls State Park, Canaan Valley NWR, Dolly Sods Wilderness and much more. There will be day trips to these areas, and there is a planned canoe trip on the Cheat River (with good river and weather conditions) to bird and botanize from a different aspect. Dates are June 13-21.

Foray is inexpensive ($235 for the whole 8 days, with individual day and meal rates available). We will be staying at the Camp Kidd 4-H camp, with full separate dorms, a full kitchen staff and a scenic setting. There will be programs in the evenings and during some days, with experts in birding, botanizing, entomology and more.

This is a unique adult/youth camping experience, with this being the 77th excursion around the state. It is always fun, interesting, education, and jam-packed with birds. At last year's Foray in Preston County, just to the north, we had over 120 species of birds, including Saw-whet Owl, Yellow-rumped and Golden-winged Warblers, Henslow's Sparrows and more. In Tucker County, there are the possibilities of Red Crossbills, Clay-colored Sparrows, many warbler species and more.

Applications and more information can be found online at...:

• The new Brooks Bird Club website, at www.brooksbirdclub.org. A lot of hard work has gone into making this new website interactive and full of great information about the club and its activities.

Fully integrated Google forms, comprehensive calendars that cover all club chapters, slide shows, history and much, much more.

We'd love to see you at Foray. For questions or more information, you can contact me off-listserv at the info below.
