I just got a phone call from Butch Rockwell. He followed up on yesterday's report by Melanie Shutter and located 5 Franklin's Gulls on the water. He described his vantage point as, "From the picnic area to the East of the beach". Two of the birds were in nearly full breeding plumage, and the other three were in transition plumage. Deer Creek Reservoir is located about 40 miles SSE of Columbus, mostly S of Mt. Sterling. Good luck, and please post updates of future sightings here, both positive and negative. Thanks.
