Familiar birds have been returning:
Hummingirds, yellow-throated vireos, towhees, wood thrush, ovenbirds and
most recently summer tanager and indigo buntings.

This morning I was delighted to see a flock of yellow-rumped warblers with
a few palm warblers in the mix, yellow-throated warblers and others I
couldn't quite identify... wish you were here.

Then- just as I was heading home, out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash
of white over the little lake and I was pleasantly surprised to see a
Caspian Tern dive bombing for fish. I have never seen one this far
inland. Maybe he's lost
