Common Loons seem to be dropping into various ponds as they're migrating through. This morning I found a loon in our backyard retention pond (Sheffield Village, Lorain County). Best of birding to you!

Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.

It is the pond that is further south. I could see a Common Loon from the street. I pulled in and could see it partially submerged with his head underwater most of the time feeding after 3pm.
