An adult Snowy Egret was found earlier this afternoon foraging in the
shallow waters
of an oxbow impoundment at Edison Marsh - Grand River State Wildlife Area.

This is on the north side of Rt. 88 - 1 mile east of Rt. 534.
There is a State gravel parking lot 0.2 m. west of the impoundment.

The waterfowl at this very lightly-birded spot are easily spooked, so care
should be
taken to observe the egret from the most distant spot possible - a scope
would be
very helpful. Rt. 88 is just two lanes and very high speed - pulling off
the road opposite the impoundment is dicey.
