I went to Villa Angela and Wildwood Parks today from 1:10 to 3:30pm which are part of Euclid Creek Reservation on Lakeshore Blvd @ 174th St. on Lake Erie. There were at least 12 GREAT EGRETS in the wetland and along Euclid Creek at Wildwood.  You could even see them from the entrance road.  Standing in the Wildwood parking lot most were in the center of the wetland when I arrived but later after I was leaving Villa Angela and crossing the white bridge many had moved just east of the bridge on the banks of the creek and in the trees apparently avoiding the fishermen on the southeast area of the wetland.  But they were continually flying back and forth and sometimes on the far west end of the wetland.  Some were reported a couple weeks ago on eBird but since I've only come on the weekends lately I hadn't seen any yet.
Otherwise, in the rest of the two parks I did see one Common Loon in the marina, 150+ Red-breasted Mergansers, 12 Bonaparte's Gulls east of marina, female Scaup, Kingfisher, 20 DC Cormorants, three Eastern Phoebes, 18 Dark-eyed Juncos, at least six Fox Sparrows in Villa Angela, only five Golden-crowned Kinglets, seven Brown Creepers, 8-9 Song Sparrows, one female Wood Duck, one Horned-Grebe.  Missed some birds I had seen last weekend (Flickers, Towhees,  Brown Thrashers, Sapsucker) and didn't see anything new other than the Great Egrets, Loon & Wood Duck.
