Just saw an American Bittern standing along the roadside by the wetland at the intersection of Carpenter Hill Rd and Side Hill Rd in Scipio Twp. It stayed in the open right in front of my car for a minute or so, giving me a fantastic close-up view before flying into the south side of the wetland.
