A few really good birds were seen today at the Rookery (
http://www.geaugaparkdistrict.org/parks/rookery.shtml) in Geauga County
(Matt Valencic, Dick Hoopes and Kelly Kozlowski). An unusual hybrid
Blue-winged x Golden-winged Warbler (looks like Blue-winged but has yellow
wing bars and song slightly different), White-eyed Vireo, Canada Warbler and
Black-billed Cuckoo. The Woodcock Trail (enter on east end) had the hybrid
and vireo. A couple pics are on my Flickr page at
https://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/.
This is the same park where Geauga Park Naturalist Dan Best found a
Lawrence's Warbler last May.
Also watch for Green Heron's and lots of other migrants.
