Mid-afternoon today (5/3/16) found an active pair of Upland Sandpipers
on their traditional site - Stollaker Rd. just east of Rt. 193. They were
active
in the air and on the ground, & vocalizing. Many perches atop telephone
poles
and on the wires - excellent views and photo ops.
A male Northern Harrier hunted the same field along Rt. 193 a bit to the
south.
