I am glad someone posted something about the thousands of jays. It was incredible to see. They just kept coming and coming. (Makes me wonder why I didn't take a short video?!?)

I have seen Jen B. post sightings like this. But, to see it in-person was fantastic. We arrived at the boardwalk at 8:30 am. The sky was covered in the jays moving east at treetop level. They came in fewer numbers as the day went on. But, it was a constant stream.

I did manage to take two videos this past week of other birds. One is of a woodcock. the other was simply "birders' luck". A couple of days ago we finished birding at 8:30 pm. I took a walk on the west beach at Magee to get a sunset photo. There were four ruddy turnstones there. One never knows...

Here is a link to my Flickr account if you want to see the woodcock and the turnstones. My little camera can't capture the other birds that move quickly in the tree. Glad I was able to catch something.
