We stopped by Berliner Park and the nearby Greenlawn Cemetery for a few hours this morning, and were rewarded with good migrant diversity despite the windy, cold conditions. At Berliner, large numbers of migrants had collected along the north end of the bikepath, while the most interesting birds at Greenlawn were in the oaks west of the Pit. Notables included:

Cuckoo - 1 Black-billed was in the oaks west of the Pit in the cemetery
Flycatchers - many Empidonax, mostly Least & Acadian; also many Pewees and some Great Crested
Vireos - Berliner had Yellow-thr., Red-eyed, Warbling, while Greenlawn added Philadelphia & Red-eyed
Swallows - mixed species flocks worked the river at Berliner in the cold wind, including Trees, Barns, Rough-wings, and Banks. The cemetery Pit had 10+ Rough-wings.
Thrushes - Swainson's were everywhere at both sites; the Greenlawn ravine had a Gray-cheek, while 2 Woods were singing at Berliner
Mimids - Catbirds were everywhere at both sites, and Greenlawn also had 2 Mockingbirds
Cedar Waxwings - flocks were at both locations

Warblers - 20 species, including Prothonotary (2 at Berliner), Cerulean (1 north of the Pit), Parulas, Yellows, Nashville, Tennessees, Magnolias, Chesnut-sided (5-6 at each site), Yellow-throated, Black-thr.Blue, Black-thr.Greens, Blackburnians, Yellow-rumped, Palms, Bay-breasted, Blackpolls, Black&White, AmerRedstart (most common warbler at both sites), Ovenbird, HoodedWarbler

Buntings,Grosbeaks - good #s of Indigo Buntings at both sites; the cemetery also had 4-5 Rose-br. Grosbeaks
Sparrows - a few White-trhoats were at both sites, along with the expected Chipping & Songs
Orioles - Baltimores at both sites
Finches - nothing but the expected House Finches and Goldfinches
