At about 2:30 pm, today, Sunday, 05/22, the Red-necked Grebe is still
present in the small pond south of Middleburg on SR 287. It is diving and
feeding often close to road. Park at driveway across the road from pond.
Great bird! Thanks for Stefan Minnig's update yesterday and for telling us
on Friday evening at Oldfield Beach, Indian Lake SP at the Whimbrel
location that it probably was still there! It still is!
