The Kirtland's Warbler found yesterday at Stubbs Park in Centerville was present and very cooperative tonight. It was in a small tree right next to the entrance road by the first two little parking areas. There were 10 or so folks standing by the tree watching when I arrived at about 8:30 pm. The bird was maybe 10 feet up moving around from time to time, but mostly relaxing. This made for pretty easy photo ops.
It wasn't fazed by passing dogs barking, people whispering excitedly, or much else it seemed. It was still there when I left at 8:45-as the light was fading.
