A blonde Fledged Hairy Woodpecker was flying around my yard today. An
adult female Hairy Woodpecker was feeding it beef suet. Feathers that
should have been black were a very light blonde color and white feathers
were a light sandy color. I noticed it had a spot of red on top of its
head. The light feathers made it appear to be bigger than the
female. It was not vocalizing.
