Tonight, Monday, at about 8:30PM at Guilford Lake in Columbiana County, we found a gorgeous male Ruddy Duck in breeding plumage, all alone out in the middle of the lake, opposite the state park beach. The surprise celebrity summer visitor, appeared perfectly healthy. At least twelve inland summering Double-crested Cormorants could be seen roosting in a tree in the background, along with numerous Green Herons returning to their evening tree roost area just west of Mark's Landing.
