Not to overburden the list with personal high-notes, I hope it's both appropriate and appreciated to post a link to a series of photos I was able to take over the period of 5 weeks spanning May/June. It documents a pair of cerulean warblers throughout their nest-building, feeding and fledging of young. It is the only cerulean nest I have ever had the privilege of seeing, and knowing the plight of this fastest-declining warbler, might be the single experience of my lifetime. The nest was neither predated nor parasitized, and hung tight through the worst of windy storms to ravage the Clear Creek corridor (Hocking County). And although the conditions for photographs deteriorated with leafout, you can appreciate the siting of the nest and its protection from the elements.
