Last night around 8:45pm I saw my first shorebird (besides Killdeer) of the
summer at LaDue - a Short-billed Dowitcher.  Pics and 30 second video at
https://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/.



Park at the boathouse and look north at the shallow water along the edge of
the bay.  The water level is dropping nicely and the gravel bars along
Valley Road are starting to develop.  Keep an eye out for more shorebirds
and waders as the migration begins (hard to believe!).
