While coming back from Battelle-Darby MetroPark, I stopped to bird along Youngs Rd just west of the SWACO Landfill (aka Mt Trashmore) between London-Groveport Rd and I-71, and had a pair of Blue Grosbeaks along the road, including a singing male along the power line. This open area has traditionally been good for field birds; I had Savannah Sparrow and meadowlarks, but no Vesper Sparrows today. SWACO appears to be expanding the landfill, so some of the fields on the east side of the road are probably doomed, but the west side remains interesting.
