Julie Karlson and I checked out the beach at Buck Creek State Park this
morning. As we started down the beach a juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpiper
flew in. We got great looks at it. We also saw a Lesser Yellowlegs and a
Pectoral Sandpiper but they soon left. There were also four Black Terns
flying over the lake. Two of them landed on the beach where we got great
looks at them through the scope. There has also been a Forster's Tern on the
beach for a few days. The Blue Grosbeak continues to sing from near the
parking lot.
