Just received this email from local birder Paul Hershberger about the area and the details of the Swallow-tailed Kite sightings. As has been mentioned elsewhere. The non-success of those looking last evening should not stop people from checking today. Below are Paul's map and comments.Kent Miller

I went looking for the Swallow-tailed Kite last night, but didn’t get there till around 6 so we did not see it. The Kite was last seen at 5 flying east. It was seen yesterday by knowledgeable birders including Ed Schlabach. After talking to some of the homeowners. It was first seen Monday at the farm at the end of the dead-end road in the red circle below. Yesterday it was seen again at 3:00 (same time as Monday) than it was first reported to other birders. The homes in this dead-end road are all Amish families and are birder friendly. I don’t know if the Kite will show up again, but I would think that there is a chance.   You are welcome to post the map and my comments.       Respectfully, Paul Hershberger,
