Attached is a Word file I used to keep track of highlights from my breeding bird surveys in the Oak Openings Region in June and July. Unless otherwise noted, these birds were seen in Lucas County. I have also attached an Excel file that summarizes breeding survey results for 2016 (with comparative numbers from past years).

  The Ohio Cardinal’s short summer season has ended,despite what the thermometer reads.  Thatmeans it’s time send in your June and July sightings.  They go to Craig Caldwell, 1270 W.
