In years past, the Lark Soarrows have been seen on the STEEL MILL TRAIL portion of the Bridgeway Trail in Black River Reservation. The Steel Mill portion is also an eBird Hotspot. Lorain County Metro Parks' online trail maps can pinpoint Steel Mill portion.

I was at Lorain Impoundment several weeks ago and water level was high then. The raised dike was also overgrown but still passable - long pants are recommended.

Best of birding!

Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.

What is the condition of the Lorain Harbor area for birding? It is close to the Black River Reservation, which is why I am asking. I think it used to be a good place for migrant shorebirds in the past. I check it from time to time because I would like to see an American Avocet someday.
