This morning at the Deer Creek State Park Beach - *5 Am. Avocets, 13
Caspian Terns, 1 Forster's Tern, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper, 1 Sanderling *along
with Ring-billed Gulls, Turkey Vultures, Canada Geese, Killdeer, and Osprey
flyover and a Double-crested Cormorant swimming offshore.

At 10:45 am, I walked into the Middle Wetland of the Deer Creek Wildlife
Area off Egypt Pike. In the north shallow pond were* two American White
Pelicans, *which stayed while I scoped them and then took off, caught a
thermal and soared away toward the reservoir. Lots of Wood Ducks, a few
Mallards and Bank, Rough-winged and Cliff Swallows. Also Great Blue Heron,
Green Heron, and a soaring Bald Eagle.

On Dick Road at the north end of the wetland, there were *17 Great Egrets,*
14 Great Blue Herons, a Green Heron and soaring above were the *two
American White Pelicans,* still around at 12:10 pm. Also lots of Wood
Ducks. I counted 23.
