Juvenile Sabine’s gull still there for close range viewing this afternoon.  Most notable is that its shoreline foraging behavior is quite sandpiper-like.  I saw it in the company of a golden plover, lesser yellowlegs and killdeer.  Other gravel bar birds on LaDue’s west shore along Valley Road included:  a black-bellied plover, a Baird’s sandpiper, a couple of least sandpipers, another lesser yellowlegs or two, several killdeers and a few dozen ring-billed gulls.  I apparently missed the terns.  A few great blue herons, lots of Canada geese and several juvenile bald eagles.  
Beautiful weather and some very happy birders.
