While I was on my back porch this morning, a female Mallard flew in and literally landed 2 feet from me! I thought it didn't see me, but eventually I sat down, and it stayed and nibbled my fingers! Very strange. It tried to get in my back door several times and it actually let let me pick it up so I could walk it over to the pond across the street to release it. Anyone ever had an experience like this? I suppose it could have been a pet duck, certainly not afraid of people. It also could just be a juvenile that's not developed any fear of humans? Either way, quite strange and any suggestions as to why are appreciated!!
